Coleen joined Talent Function in 2010, committed to helping clients select and implement the talent management solutions needed to hire and retain top talent and achieve organizational goals. She also supports clients with budget constraints that do not allow for changes in technology, by evaluating current state processes and providing a roadmap for optimizing what is currently in place. Coleen is well-versed in the industry’s leading solutions and draws on several years of experience leading HR operations with a passion for HR technology.
Throughout her career Coleen has worked for such companies as Ross Dress for Less, SBC (formerly Pacific Bell), ADP and the Clorox Company, developing recruiting programs and managing talent acquisition teams. During her tenure at ADP, Coleen was responsible for talent acquisition technology selection and leading the company’s homegrown recruiting programs. At Clorox, Coleen developed annual strategic recruiting plans, incorporating service level agreements, metrics and diversity initiatives, and quarterly review of results against plan.
Her recent projects include the global reimplementation of the current applicant tracking system for a financial services company. Here, Coleen documented current state and developed and implemented future state design, which included developing UAT scripts and providing technical support during UAT. The final phase of the project included the creation and delivery of virtual training to global locations.
Another recent project included the design of a structured vendor selection process with development of client-specific demo scripts for a large enterprise data integration and management software company. Coleen created a client-specific business requirements document for vendor completion and provided analysis tools for the client to use in decision making.
Coleen also worked with a client reviewing current state with the existing talent acquisition solution and provided recommendations for system and process optimization. After these changes were made, she drafted a Recruiter Playbook, pulling together all recruiting aspects and resources into one online document.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
“It’s easy to become extremely overwhelmed when looking at the variety of talent management solutions on the market, much like a kid in a candy shop. As a former HR practitioner, I can certainly feel clients’ pain. Leveraging my management and technology background, I enjoy helping clients identify their business requirements and future process mapping in order to make better informed decisions about their systems and processes.”
